परशुराम का जन्म जमदग्नि और रेणुका नाम के ऋषि से हुआ था। उनका जन्म जनपव (इंदौर म.प्र।) की पहाड़ियों में हुआ था। वे एक झोपड़ी में रहते थे। उनके पिता एक महान ऋषि थे, जिन्हें सुरभि नाम की गाय देने की इच्छा थी। एक दिन अर्जुन नाम के एक क्रूर राजा (महाभारत के अर्जुन के साथ भ्रमित नहीं होने) के बारे में सब कुछ अच्छा था, पवित्र गाय के बारे में पता चला। एक दिन जब परशुराम घर में नहीं थे, तब राजा उनके घर में घुसे और जबरदस्ती गाय को अपने साथ ले गए। जब परशुराम को उसी के बारे में पता चला तो वह राजा से लड़ने गया और लड़ाई के दौरान उसे मारने लगा। इससे योद्धा कबीले को गुस्सा आ गया और अब वे सभी परशुराम को मारना चाहते थे।

अब, यह वह समय था जब योद्धा या क्षत्रिय वंश ने अपनी शक्तियों का दुरुपयोग करना शुरू कर दिया था क्योंकि वे दुनिया पर शासन करना चाहते थे। उन्होंने असहाय लोगों पर अत्याचार किया और सभी को उनकी सेवा में लगाया। परशुराम प्रबुद्ध योद्धा होने के नाते अपने अत्याचार को समाप्त करने के एकमात्र उद्देश्य के साथ पैदा हुए थे। उसने एक-एक करके पूरी योद्धा जाति को मार डाला। क्रूर क्षत्रिय योद्धाओं को नष्ट करके उन्होंने एक बार फिर से ब्रह्मांडीय संतुलन को बहाल किया। भगवान परशुराम का उल्लेख रामायण और महाभारत दोनों में किया गया है।

रामायण में, वह राम की अखंडता और नैतिकता का परीक्षण करने के लिए आते हैं जब भगवान राम सीता के स्वयंवर में भाग लेते हैं। जब परशुराम को यकीन हो जाता है कि राम दूसरे क्रूर राजाओं की तरह नहीं हैं तो वह उसे जाने देता है।

महाभारत में, उन्हें भीष्मपिताम और कर्ण के मार्गदर्शक या शिक्षक के रूप में दिखाया गया है। वह वह है जो उन्हें लड़ना सिखाता है। विष्णु अवतार के रूप में भगवान परशुराम राम और कृष्ण के रूप में अन्य अवतारों के साथ जुड़े थे।

उन्हें उन अमर देवताओं में से एक माना जाता है जो कलियुग के अंत तक धरती पर रहेंगे और संकट के समय में फिर से प्रकट होंगे और हनुमान जैसे अन्य चिरंजीवी अवतार लेने की जरूरत है।

Parashurama was born to a sage named Jamadagni and Renuka. He was born in the hills of Janapav (Indore M.P.). They lived in a hut. His father was a great sage who had a desire to give a cow named Surabhi. One day all good about a cruel king named Arjuna (not to be confused with Arjuna of Mahabharata) came to know about the holy cow. One day when Parashurama was not in the house, the king entered his house and forcibly took the cow with him.

When Parashurama came to know about the same he went to fight with the king and started killing him during the fight. This enraged the warrior clan and now they all wanted to kill Parashurama.

Now, this was the time when the warrior or Kshatriya clan started misusing their powers as they wanted to rule the world. He oppressed the helpless people and engaged everyone in his service. Parashurama being an enlightened warrior was born with the sole purpose of ending his tyranny. He killed the entire warrior race one by one.

He restored the cosmic balance once again by destroying the ruthless Kshatriya warriors. Lord Parashurama is mentioned in both Ramayana and Mahabharata.

In the Ramayana, he comes to test Rama's integrity and morality when Lord Rama participates in Sita's swayamvara. When Parashurama is convinced that Rama is not like other cruel kings, he lets him go.

In the Mahabharata, he is depicted as the guide or teacher of Bhishmapitam and Karna. He is the one who teaches them to fight. Lord Parashurama as Vishnu avatar was associated with other incarnations as Rama and Krishna.

He is considered to be one of those immortal deities who will remain on earth till the end of Kali Yuga and will reappear in times of crisis and need to take other Chiranjeevi avatars like Hanuman.

Now the question is, will it be a man who will come to save the human race or will it be a man awakened in the human race in the form of an increase in his consciousness? Will there be a savior to save us or will we become the savior ourselves.
