Orkut Application Tutorial:-

Congratulation developers finally Orkut launch Orkut Apps for Indians. Now you can create your own Application on Orkut.
Before creating Orkut apps you need to understand in which platform it works.
Orkut Application works on xml and to know about xml click here.
Orkut apps work on a different style of xml and it uses its own google libraries.
For more Information about the pattern of xml and Google libraries click here.

If you want to make your own Orkut Application then follow the instructions:-

1. First of all you need to become member of http://sandbox.orkut.com/
2. For this you have to apply for developer from http://code.google.com/support/opensocialsignup/
3. It will take around 48 hours for confirmation.
4. After confirmation you can start making your Orkut Apps from http://sandbox.orkut.com/MyApps.aspx.
5. After reaching http://sandbox.orkut.com/MyApps.aspx you can see "add application" button. So enter your xml url here and you can see your Orkut Apps.
It will look like this.


6. After creating your apps submit your apps in Orkut Directory.

and that quiz can be given by everyone who views our profile or juz our friends (option should be given)

kaustubh verna said... dude i have created a widget using widgetbox. then i customized it for orkut. I submitted the app url and then when i am logged in the sandbox ... i see the application but when i am logged in normally i cant see the app..l.. neither my friends can see it ...... also when i thought resubmitting the url ... it said the app already was there in the directory .... but it doesnt seems to be listed there .... is it that orkut would check the app ... before it opens it ???
