Vijay Mallya has become the new victim of the cyber war going in between the Pakistan hackers and the Indian hackers. We have seen many websites being hacked by the Pakistani hackers before, but most of the times they are private websites. This time the Pakistani hackers targeted the Vijay Mallya’s website and posted warning messages to the Indians.
The message “This is payback from Pak Cyber Army in return to the defacements of Pakistan sites!” appeared on Vijay Mallya’s official website and it has shocked many of his website followers. Even Vijay Mallya was shocked to see his website hacked.
“My website – http://mallyainparliament.in/ hacked by the Pakistan Cyber Army. Shocked when I opened site to update it. Saw the Pakistan flag and threats !” Vijay Mallya shared his views on this incident to his Facebook followers.
Vijay Mallya website is now back to normal and the web experts at Mallya’s end have restored the site back to its normal position.
Cyber war is sort of a worry for many people living in India, and even in the Pakistan. The hackers normally used to hack the government and other prominent websites. But the now the ‘hacking kids’ are hacking mostly the private websites which has got nothing to do with Indo-Pak clashes.
There are sufferers from both the ends, i.e. from Indian side and even the Pakistan side. This is a continuous process, chain reaction! It’s “You hack – I hack” sort of fight, and let’s see if this has an end or not!

Vijay Mallya's website has been hacked
MUMBAI: Rajya Sabha member and industrialist Vijay Mallya's personal website has been hacked allegedly by Pakistani hackers with "dire" threats that India's cyber space was not secured being posted on it.
The liqour baron's spokesperson Prakash Mirpuri said on Sunday that a complaint in this regard would be lodged with the city police on Monday. A Pakistani flag was also depicted on the website of the chief of Kingfisher Airlines.
"Dr Mallya's website www.mallyainparliament.com has been hacked and the Pakistani flag has been placed with a dire message from an organisation known as the Pakistan Cyber Army," the spokesperson said.
"A police complaint will be filed with the cyber crime as soon as the (cyber) cell opens on Monday," he added.
Mallya said he was shocked at the defacement of his website.
"This morning when I went into my site, I was utterly shocked to see the Pakistani flag and the message," he said, adding "what was more shocking to me was to see that it was done by some Pakistani outfit."
Mallya said he will report the incident to the Union government on Monday.

A cyber expert says that ahead of Independence celebrations, cyber attacks on the websites of both India and Pakistan are usually noticed.
"Some websites belonging to Pakistan get defaced while some sites of India get hacked. The hackers leave their mark to show their strength. Moreover, they target well known websites so that the hackers get huge publicity," Cyber Expert Vijay Mukhi said.

Group of Pakistani internet hackers has waged a cyber war on Indian sites, claiming to have infected over 200 of them and said the act was a revenge
The group, describing itself as "Predators PK", said it hacked the Indian sites Friday in retaliation to the Nov 26 cyber attack carried out by the Indian Cyber Army (ICA), according to Pakistani daily The Express Tribune.
Among the 36 websites hacked by the ICA Nov 26 this year, were the websites of Pakistan Navy, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the ministry of foreign affairs, education and finance as well as Islamic organisations.
In retaliation, Predators PK has targetted websites of India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), colleges, NGOs, Indian companies and religious organisations among others, the daily said and published the list of hacked websites circulated by Predators PK.
The modus operandi was similar to the ICA attack, with pages developed by the hackers being inserted onto Indian servers and sites being hacked to root level.However, unlike the ICA attack which was cited as "revenge for 26/11" (the Mumbai terrorist attack Nov 26, 2008), the page inserted by Pakistani hackers did not suggest ideological motivations, but simply revenge.
The message by a hacker called HEX786 read: "This is Just A Warning To All Script Kiddies Indians Hackers. Stop Being no0bs and Defacing Pakistani Web Sites Dont prove Us to Do Something. Your Security Was good But We Like Breaking it !"
HEX786 also commented on The Express Tribune website saying, "before this gov web sites defacement Pakistani hacker hacked in 1200 Indians web sites. we hacked BJP Web site Nehor web site 5 top Hackers forums. Indians Media Web sites All site on the Record in Google."
"We R already Fighting Cyber War the indians Started Against Pakistan... its Our gov Weakness they are hosted Web sites on Cheap Web servers. All Pakistani Nation Should Understand Pakistani hackers is a big Power on the internet. Now the Pakistani government should strictly protect their sites. We had told them the same day when the problem was Created... Pakistani people should not worry because pakistani Hackers alive," the group said.

48 hours & counting: CBI website remains offline
48 hours & counting; CBI website remains offline. New Delhi, Dec 6: Exposing India's weakness in information technology, the premier investigative agency, Central Bureau of Investigation has failed to restart its hacked official website even after 48 hours.
The CBI website (http://cbi.nic.in/), which was hacked by Pakistani hackers, remained offline on Monday, Dec 6. The failure indicates the credibility of Indian IT sector, which is considered as one of the leading exporter of 'brainees' to the Western countries.
The official website of CBI was hacked on Friday, Dec 3 night by unknown hackers, who claimed themselves as "Pakistan Cyber Army". The hackers infiltrated to the root level and left a note saying that the attack was a response to the hacking of Pakistan websites by Indian hackers.
The note left by Pakistan hackers read, "This attempt is in response to the Pakistani websites hacked by 'Indian Cyber Army'. We told u before too...we are sleeping but not dead". The note ended with "Pakistan Zindabad."
Later on Saturday, CBI officials released a statement describing that they were working hard to fix the issue and also registered a case under Information Technology Act against 'unknown' hackers.
"A case has been registered in this connection in the cyber crime cell of the CBI and efforts are underway to restore the website with the help of National Informatics Centre and the CBI cyber security experts," the statement said.

The sudden change appears to come, however, not from Apple grossly underperforming earlier expectations but from IDC grossly underestimating the total size of the U.S. mobile advertising market and Google's share of it. The earlier report had cited a total market size of under $250 million for 2009, while the new report claims that 2009 saw a market of $368 million.
Earlier this year, IDC projected Google would lose market share this year. It revised estimates after Google's October announcement. "Google is a lot bigger than we thought," Weide says. "We rectified that, based on the numbers they provided in their last earnings call."
Those underestimations have led to a dramatic upward revision in Google's market share numbers for 2009 and 2010, with all of its competitors, including Apple, seeing corresponding significant decreases in their market share numbers. IDC's September report claimed that Google held a 27% share in 2009 when including data for AdMob, which it acquired late in the year, but the firm's new report claims that Google held 48.6% of the market on its own in 2009, with AdMob holding an additional 8.4% share for a total of 57% of the expanded market.
The revised projections for Apple show the company holding 8.4% of the market for 2010, good for second place in an industry it hadn't even entered in 2009. Quattro Wireless, which was acquired by Apple right around the beginning of 2010, held 5.4% of the market in 2009.
Apple is continuing to expand its iAd program, pushing out worldwide delivery of ads early last month and following that up with announcements that it would be adding programs for advertisers in Japan and Europe this month and early next year.
